Gotama
This is one hell of a ski. It floats super well on powder with nice control. Unlike other reviews I've read about this ski, it has pretty good maneuverability in tight spaces, which is nice for Eastern trees. It rips through crud with a smoothness I didn't think it would have, being as it has no metal. Another thing I was told and read about the Gotama is that you can't carve on it. This is true if you define carving as slalom turns only. But this ski hold an edge really well, good enough for sick, fast, GS turns. I skied it on New Hampshire ice, and it held an impressive edge. I have Marker Griffins on them, and they are perfect.
Overall, I'd recommend this ski to anyone who wants a strong, light, mid-fat powder ski with great stability in crud and groomers (even at speed). It's a phenomenal one-ski quiver for northern Vermont or anywhere out West.
