Savage T1
I tested these skis on Silver Star mountain BC in 10cm of fresh snow, chop and packed powder. Test skis were supplied cortesy of Ski Dazzle at Silver Star.
Turn initiation was adequate on these skis. I had to work them a bit to get them going at slow speed. 3/5
Long radius turns were a strong suit of this ski with that familiar Atomic ability to lay down your inside edge and bit in for a strong carved turn. Not as quick to turn as some of the narrower waisted skis in the Nomad series they still held an edge well. 4/5
Short radius turns had to be worked harder and didn't come as naturally to this ski as the longer turns. 3/5
Stability at speed was good with confidence inspiring edge hold. 4/5
Chop and crud snow were made easy on this ski and is where it really shined. 4.5/5
Powder was also a srong point of this ski which easly handled the small amount ontouched on the test day 4.5/5
Overall rating would be a 4/5
